Mina Kim Kramer

Professor Mina Kim Kramer is a highly respected pianist, educator, and
collaborative artist. She holds a Master of Music in Piano Performance from
Indiana University and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy
from Illinois Wesleyan University.
Professor Kramer currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Piano at Nelson University (Waxahachie, TX) and Tarrant County College (Northeast Campus), where she teaches applied piano, class piano, sight singing, aural skills, music theory, and music history. She is also a sought-after adjudicator and accompanist for university ensembles and competitions, and is deeply appreciated by her students for her rigorous and attentive teaching style.
She is the current President of the Arlington Music Teachers Association (AMTA)
and an active member of several national and international professional music
organizations, including the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), Texas
Music Educators Association (TMEA), National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC),
and the World Piano Pedagogy Association. With over 30 years of teaching and
research experience, Professor Kramer is dedicated to music education across all
age levels, from preschool to adult learners, and places a strong emphasis on
the promotion of music education and the development of young musical talents.
Her students have consistently achieved outstanding results in competitions such as the TMTA (Texas Music Teachers Association) competitions, the Fort Worth Solo Competition, and the NFMC
President’s Cup, among others.
In addition to her teaching and performing activities, Professor Kramer is a founding director of the UTB/TSC Music Academy in Brownsville, Texas, a preparatory community music school.
In this role, she coordinated a faculty of 25 teachers and served more than 200 students, contributing significantly to community-based music education in the region.
